OS Upgrade
That's it - I give up. I'm upgrading to Windows XP. It should be great too, given that it will apparently be twice as fast as Vista. They can't say I didn't try..

I already upgraded to Leopard on my laptop. So far it hasn’t been all that great. I don’t use any of the new features, and now it often fails to come out of sleep mode and has trouble recognizing my wireless network..

try the sp3 beta and let us know how it goes.
Here’s just one of my Vista stories: I have a scanner that worked great on vista and one day it just stopped working. after upgrading drivers and many restarts I concluded the scanner had died.
On a whim I plugged it in to my mac and pressed the “scan” button on the scanner and it just worked.

I initially resisted getting Leopard because of reported problems, but made the switch because Boot Camp Assistant expired and I needed to resize a partition. My computer used to fail to come out of sleep with Tiger, and Apple replaced the motherboard to fix that! I still have trouble with the computer recognising my wireless network, but I had just as much trouble with Tiger.
