No Candy

The best part about Valentine's Day is always going and stocking up on super-cheap 70%-off candy afterwards. Apparently the 17th is too late to do that, because today when I went to Target all the candy was already gone :(.

  1. Is that really the best part about Valentine’s Day? Hmmm…

  2. I still find that hard to believe…

Any follow up from your speed dating experience?

  3. What would you say the best part about Valentine’s Day is if you’re single?

And no, nothing much came of that.. There wasn’t enough interest I guess.

  4. If you happen to find yourself single on Valentine’s Day, it can still be a good day! You can:
    – meet up with your friends for drinks and dinner.
    – get a bottle of your favorite wine, get some take out and give yourself a pedicure while watching a favorite movie.
    – have a “@#$% Valentine’s Day!” party, make lots of yummy cocktails and forget all about holidays with cupids and hearts and fluffy crap.

…wait. I’ve put like three ideas down for best things about Valentine’s Day if you’re single and they all involve drinking. 🙂 Oops!

Seriously, though, I’m not a big candy person, so…

Sorry that nothing came of the speed dating. Those chicks don’t know what they’re missing. 🙂

Here’s to future Valentine’s Days being better for you!

  5. Thanks! And yeah I guess those are good ideas for things to do on Valentine’s Day. It is possible to have fun if you want to.

As for me, I had to work all day and then go to a class all night, so.. meh :|.

If you load up on cheap candy though, you can be happy for weeks afterward! 🙂

  6. Uh, no…it just means even more hours of exercising vigorously. (Oh yeah, I forgot: you’re still in your early 20s – so you don’t have these issues yet!) 🙂

  7. Know what is a bigger bummer than not getting to buy discounted post-Valentine’s candy?

Visiting a blog you like that has not been updated! 🙁

  8. OK I made a new post :). Sometimes it’s hard to continually come up with new things to post all the time.
If you’re bored, you could start writing a blog, eh? 😉

  9. So you suppose that I only come by here because I’m bored? Certainly, you think more of yourself than that…

And who says I’m not blogging out there? 😉

  10. OK so that’s true that I don’t know for sure you don’t have a blog out there somewhere; that was just a guess. So do you?

  11. Just so you know, I come here because you’re interesting.

And…I do sort-of-kind-of-blog in a very small corner of the Universe on a health and wellness site. But only recently. And only to sort out my own thoughts on nutrition, exercise, health, society’s expectations regarding appearance, mass production of food, misconceptions about diet, etc. Not terribly scintillating!
