Piratizer on sale!

Late last night Apple approved Piratizer for sale on the iPhone App Store! I only noticed it this morning when I unexpectedly received a sales report saying it had sold 9 copies on Sunday (I still haven't received the email notification from Apple).

Anyway, it will be quite interesting to see the total sales for the first full day it's available for sale (today). Before beginning the full marketing blitz, we need to build up a good stable of reviews and fix any critical bugs that the early users find (hopefully there won't be any). If you'd like a free promo code to download and review the app, let me know!

We finished and uploaded the website just in time. There are still a few things to tweak, but it's pretty much complete. Check it out over at piratizer.com!

I'm still trying to figure out how to fix the thumbnail of the YouTube video to display properly, but at least the video itself works OK. Speaking of the YouTube video, here it is:

If you're reading through an RSS reader or otherwise can't see the embed, here's a link to it on youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMlJmdyy-zM.

  1. Ahh! This is so cool! I want to try it! p.s. I haven’t read in a while sorry 🙂 I’m catching up now.

  2. Congratulations on getting it done! I’ll take you up on the promo offer, and gladly test and review it!

  3. Sure – here’s a promo code: LEEFJE7H6J3E. Use it before somebody else gets it I guess!

  4. It worked. Thanks. I will post the review in a day or two, and send you any bugs I find.

  5. I posted my review – a solid 5 stars. Overall, I’m very pleased with the app. Nice work! The only thing that might need work (I think) is the ability to detect faces while taking a picture in landscape mode (with the iPhone horizontal).

  6. Cool – thanks! Yep, Landscape mode support is a big feature we didn’t quite have time for :(. We’re hoping to add it in an update!

  7. How is the Piratizer doing? Any chance for some vague looking charts like we got after the release of Cube Cheater?

I was in line last night at a Comedy Club and the Piratizer came up in conversation. I showed them a few examples I had on my phone, and people thought it was great! A couple people immediately downloaded it. They both really enjoyed it and thought it was a fantastic app (and spent the remainder of the line piratizing every picture already in their iPhone)!

  8. So, it’s not selling all that well yet, which is why I haven’t posted about it :). But it’s about time for an update either way – I’ll go make a post with some vague looking charts.
